Review of "Broadcasts from abroad in the Russian language" Handbook.
The 13h edition.
This new edition of the handbook includes as usual full details about broadcasts in summer season of ALL radio stations outside
Russia which have programs in Russian and can be picked up in Russia. We also included summer schedule of "The Voice of
The whole information divided into sections according to the name of the country of the station. In each section information is
settled down in the following order:
- country name;
- station name;
- station addresses, phone and fax numbers of Russian services, Internet addresses;
- frequency schedule including UTC & MSK time, power and location of transmitters, direction of the broadcast;
- satellite relays and local relays if exists;
- program guide with description of the programs;
- additional information including QSL-policy, station publications, short history of the station etc.

Here is the summary of changes in the Russian language broadcasting during the last several months. From January, 1
Radiostation Belarus began its programs in several languages including Russian using very complicated schedule. Also from
January, 1 HCJB began relays via Skelton using the name "Voice from the Mountain". Voice of Orthodox is not relayed on
short wave anymore. Six stations increased its broadcasts: Voice of Vietnam added one broadcast via Russia’s transmitter in
Serpukhov, Radio Slovakia International added one repetition of its first program, Radio Taipei International (former Voice of
Free China) has now two 55 minutes programs, Yuleisradio added morning 15 minutes of news, Radio France International has
now 30 minutes programs in the morning and in the afternoon plus 56 minutes in the evening, Radio Japan instead of 5 one hour
programs broadcasts now 6 half an hour and 2 twenty minutes programs.
